Sickness, sickness!

We've had quite the set of woes in the past couple of days. Last I posted we had just returned from a birthday party on Saturday. Since then, things have been anything but boring around the house.

Joel got pretty sick on Saturday night, running a fever of 103. We put him to bed and prayed for him, and he woke up feeling a little better with a lower fever in the morning. Nat stayed home from church with the kids, though.

I got home from church around 2:30, only to hear Joel screaming from upstairs about 10 minutes later. We can't be sure, but it looks like he was trying to climb to the top of the rocking chair to get into the windowsill. It didn't work out so well for him, and he fell down and bit his tongue. Now understand, when I say bit his tongue, I mean he bit his tongue.

We debated on whether or not to take him to the ER or urgent care, or whether it would heal okay on its own. After calling a friend of ours (thanks Anna) and doing a brief search online, I made the decision to just ride it out. It wasn't all the way through, but pretty close. He's now on a steady diet of popsicles and yogurt.

BUT WAIT, THERES MORE!!

Yep, the drama doesn't end there. We all got up this am and I got ready to head to church and Nat was working on getting Charis ready for school. Nat said she wasn't feeling well, but would take Charis to school anyway. I got a call about 3 hours ago asking if I could come home. Natalie has been quite sick all morning. Any time she stands she, well, you know.

And here's one more photo just for laughs. When do you know its time to change a diaper?

When it comes out of the armpit!!

Pictures

Hello Friends & Family

I know I've been really bad lately about updating this blog. Things remain busy here with the Bronson clan. We are all doing well. Charis is enjoying school and dance, and Joel and Alexandra are both growing and doing great.

This post is to inform you that we added some more pictures to our Flickr page, which you can view by clicking here.

We went to a birthday party earlier today for a friend of Charis. It was at the local pumpkin patch, so the kids had fun chasing farm animals and feeding the clydesdales.

While you're out and about on the web, check out a new blog I have started, hoping to encourage folks in their walk with the Lord. Its not all serious, though. There are also some funny stories and thoughts up. You can find that site here.

Lastly, leave a comment!

The New Bronson Child

It's a GIRL!!!

That's right. Last night Natalie delivered a healthy, plump little girl. Her name is Alexandra Rose Bronson. She was delivered at 11:55pm on July 10th, weighing 9 lbs 10 ounces and measuring 21" long. Everything went very well with the delivery. Alexandra is even nursing very well, which is a huge blessing. Thank you to all who were praying for the pregnancy and delivery.

Life has been pretty busy lately, as evidenced by the lack of posts in recent months. Charis had her dance recital a few weeks ago, which was the end of her dancing until it resumes next fall.

The home is still up for sale, but real estate has been pretty slow in the area, so we are continuing to pray and wait.

We will be putting more posts up in the days and weeks ahead to keep everybody up to date on the progress Alexandra is making.

As always, leave comments or send us an email.

May Showers?

Its spring here in Central Oregon which means, of course, showers. What you may not know, however, is that its usually a mix of rain, hail, sleet, wind, and snow.

The family is doing well. Charis is still in pre-school, and will be finishing up on the 24th of May. She is also very excited for her dance recital, which is coming up about that time as well. Joel is staying busy terrorizing his sister, and keeping Nat very busy. Not much slows him down, except meal-times and sleep-times. Thank the Lord he stops to sleep. I think its Natalie's bit of sanity during the day.

Speaking of, Nat is looking forward to July, when the baby will be born. The official date is July 6th. She been uncomfortable for a while, and is looking forward to the pregnancy being over.

Our home is still on the market, and there hasn't been too much interest up to this point. We know the Lord is in control, however, and so we continue to pray that His will be done.

We are gearing up for a busy summer, with lots of activities at the church and with family. We will continue to keep you all posted here on whats happening with us. Feel free to email us anytime. Its always a joy hearing from you.

And, as always, leave comments.

P.S. Sorry there's no picture this time. My computer is down, and I'm trying to figure out how to revive it. But you can always check out our Flickr pics!
